The innovative Ultherapy treatment is the only facelift recognized by the FDA, the strict U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which involves the use of microfocused ultrasound that acts in a deep and targeted manner, counteracting skin laxity at its origin, from the very first session.

Ultherapy is the only treatment that makes it possible to pinpoint with extreme precision the layer of skin to be worked on: the Ultherapy® system, exploits the DeepSEE® that ensures a high level of safety for the patient. Evidence of its efficacy and especially its extreme safety is documented by some 90 clinical studies and scientific publications that have undergone detailed and scrupulous quality control.

Before performing the ULTHERAPY®treatment, Dr. Manola thoroughly examines the aging status of the skin through a detailed examination, planning, together with the patient, the most suitable protocol that will have to take into account the starting situation of the skin and the results that the patient wants to achieve through the therapy.

At this point it will be possible to identify the depth and intensity of the ultrasound treatment to be applied. The protocol involves a single treatment session lasting between thirty and ninety minutes, during which the doctor will examine the skin areas with an ultrasound probe and treat them with ultrasound in a precise and targeted manner.

How It Works – Non-Surgical Lifting

The non-surgical facelift treatment acts on the skin, subcutis and muscle and is essentially based on microfocused ultrasound stimuli that generate targeted heat on the areas affected by laxity: once the ultrasound reaches the skin point on which to act, it transforms into heat, reaching the right temperature to stimulate collagen regeneration, whose task will be to give elasticity and firmness to the skin once again.

The heating caused by ultrasound generates a stimulation and contraction of collagen that firms and reshapes skin tissues selected in advance by the physician-this particular process allows for extremely natural aesthetic results.

How Ultherapy differs

Underlying the collagen stimulation that characterizes Ultherapy is the ability of ultrasound to reach the ideal temperature to induce deep tissue regeneration. Other technologies such as radiofrequency, infrared, and lasers also take advantage of heat, but are unable to achieve the same temperature and depth as microfocused ultrasound.

The first results of Ultherapy are visible already after the treatment session, but the collagen protein regeneration process needs at least 2-3 months for real and effective stabilization.

Ultherapy treatment is recommended for any individual, regardless of the patient’s age or phototype. It represents a viable alternative to surgery for anyone with mild skin laxity or who is unwilling to undergo invasive surgical treatment. In addition, it will be possible to subject the treated skin area to both sun exposure and make-up. Ultherapy can also be performed as a maintenance after facelift surgery, in case the patient wishes to stimulate neocollagenesis after surgery and prolong the results. Following the treatment session, there may be slight redness or swelling near the treated skin areas, which will disappear within about two to three days.

As is the case with any medical procedure, surgical facelift treatment can involve side effects that may consist of mild sunburn and temporary bruising that disappear within a few days. Ultherapy is not recommended for patients with skin lesions and severe acne.

Areas to be treated: Face Neck and Décolleté

One treatment session: Ultherapy treatment takes place on an outpatient basis and lasts 30 to 90 minutes.

Recovery time: immediate

Ultherapy is designed to regenerate and strengthen tissue from within; it is a gradual process over time to create new collagen. Results vary from patient to patient.

Subsequent touch-up treatments about 2 years apart can help offset the natural skin aging process.

CHANGE YOUR SKIN

Change your skin is a non-surgical treatment that aims to make the skin smoother and firmer by removing any imperfections such as acne scars, skin thickening, and reducing small surface wrinkles on the face.

The treatment involves CO2 laser resurfacing, hyaluronic acid biorevitalization, and PRP.

In the change your skin program, it is essential to have a 360-degree approach of the skin, so a thorough skin analysis is carried out before the treatment, proceeding later with a multifunctional program that will work in the deepest layers thus achieving an optimal overall result.

First, the first layer of the skin, the epidermis, is treated through the use of the innovative Resufacing CO2 laser, which allows exfoliation of the skin through gentle physical pilling. Next, the deeper layers, the papillary dermis and reticular dermis, are to be treated with hyaluronic acid biorevitalization and PRP, which allows true accelerated tissue regeneration. These two products are injected by infiltration, and allow tissue regeneration and reactivation of collagen production.

The treatment lasts fifteen minutes and should be repeated every thirty days for three times.

Dr. Mirko Manola, born in 1979, graduated from the University of Catania in 2005 with a degree in Medicine and Surgery with a license to practice, and in 2006 he joined the provincial register of surgeons of Catania, specializing later in 2010 in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

He opened his first studio in Catania in 2008 where he still operates monthly also dividing his time between studios in Rome and Milan.

In 2012 he began collaborating with fellow surgeons on Milan, later deciding to move permanently, opening in December 2016 his private practice Dr. Mirko Manola Plastic surgery, in the heart of Brera.

His professional path, which led him to become a well-known plastic surgeon, began at a young age when, thanks to his father, also a physician, he got to know and frequent the environment that over the years would become his world. His passion for surgery, predisposition for image care, pursuit of precision and attention to detail were already innate. The moment he visited a plastic surgery department in Catania he became so fascinated that he enthusiastically chose the path that has made him an esteemed and successful plastic surgeon in Italy today.

When necessary, he divides his time between Rome and Catania on a monthly basis, while at the Milan headquarters, he collaborates with the private clinic DAY CLINIC, and the private nursing home COLUMBUS where he performs Aesthetic Surgery procedures.
